- 1 lb Ground turkey or beef
- 1/2 cup Shredded cheddar cheese or Monterrey jack Anything melty and gooey
- 1/2 cup Sour Cream
Produce
- 1 Tomato (diced)
- 1/4 Jalapeno optional
- 2 Avocado
- 1/2 Onion
- 1 Lime
- 1 bunch Cilantro optional
Spices
- 1 tbsp salt to taste
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tbsp pepper
Instructions
- Season the ground turkey or beef with the above ingredients or use a taco season kit to skip a step
- Brown the meat in a skillet. Add a 1/2 cup of water after browned and cook thoroughly for about 15 minutes and until there is no signs of pink in the meat and the juices have almost evaporated.
- While the meat is cooking spread out the can of refined beans onto the bottom of the clear dish as your base layer.
- Sprink a generous layer of cheese onto to complete the second layer.
- When the meat is complete. Pour it on top of the cheese and spread to reach all sides of the dish. Do not mix. Just spread. If the meat is very oily, drain off some of the grease before this step.
- Make the guacamole by combining the avocados, diced tomatoes, jalapeño ,onion, cilantro and juice of a lime. Roughly mix until desired consistency is reached.
- (Optional) Put the dish with the beans, cheese and meat in the oven to warm for about 10 minutes at 350° F. If you are eating right away this creates a nice contrast of warm and cold elements in each bite.
- Top with 4th layer by spreading sour cream across the meat.
- Top with 5th layer by spreading guacamole on top of the sour cream.
- 6th layer, spread diced tomatoes on top
- 7th layer, top with cilantro.
